Anaak

In an ongoing collaboration with Anaak, I produced ‘Acid Trip’, a late summer campaign in Malibu photographed by Greta van der Star and modeled by Lauren Ardis.

Previously, I produced a photo shoot and pop-up event to promote Anaak’s special collaboration with textile artist Elena Stonaker. The collection, ‘Sculpture Garden – soft things for hard times, is the phrase Elena uses to describe her work. She hand-painted a selection of Anaak silk pieces; each one unique and a work of art, signed by the artist. The shoot was on location in Los Angeles featuring model Kristen Apollos, photographed by Amber Canterbury with creative direction by Anaak’s Chief Creative Officer and Founder, Marissa Maximo. The pop-up event was at Mercado Sagrado’s two day Reunion de Primavera at Malibu Fig Ranch.

Additionally, I produced a branded photo campaign to promote the availability of Anaak’s signature Airi dress in petite sizes. Featuring muse Edie Kahula Pereira, it was also photographed by Amber Canterbury in Los Angeles.

An antidote to the fast-paced and non-circular fashion industry, Anaak brings slow arts to the luxury market, honoring and supporting the skill of each collaborator. Socially impactful, the brand’s production is split between artisan cooperatives, located largely in rural India, and small factories with machine-made production - all vetted for fair compensation and thriving work conditions.
